Crystal teaches a gentle restorative level class that will begin with warming up the body with dynamic movements before resting into a recovery Yin Yoga flow. The class promotes the connection of mind and body to promote holistic self-care through deep breathing, mindfulness, and guided meditation. The class is suitable for beginners and experienced yogis/yoginis alike who seek to utilize grounding and mindfulness techniques within a restorative space. In addition, the class promotes focus on increasing mobility, flexibility, and recovery for those who cross train with high impact activities.
Crystal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and had completed her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in 2019. She believes in the holistic practice of the mind and body to create an integrative and collaborative environment. She utilizes yoga practice to help those wanting to increase mental and physical capabilities as well as recovery.
Crystal has experience in utilizing yogic philosophical practice in therapeutic settings and movement-based interventions when cross training with running, crossfit, and weight lifting.
Crystal received her Master in Social Work from UGA in 2015 and works as a lead clinical at a Community Service Board (CSB). She intends to eventually become trained in Trauma Informed Yoga (TIY) and to run a half marathon in all 50 States, currently having completed eight states (i.e., North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Nevada).
